I would recommend this product to everyone with a dog. We have the freedom to work in our yard and have the dogs with us. We have an Australian Terrier (20lbs) and a Wheaten Terrier (30lbs).

both will chase anything and everything. These are not the type of dogs to come when called if distracted by anything! I want to let everyone know that if you are worried about “hurting” the dog with the zap–DON’T WORRY. My husband is of the mindset that he wouldn’t try something like this out on our little dogs without trying it out on himself first. It does give you a little ping so to speak, but you can adjust the level and even on the highest setting it’s not that bad. You are providing protection for your dogs against cars, theft, running away etc.. It took almost the entire day to set up (but we have a big yard and wanted to give them as much room as possible) If I had known how wonderful this product is we would have done it so long ago! The Petsafe system has really changed the quality of everyone’s life. My kids can “play” with the dogs outside now. They don’t always have to be on a leash. The training was fairly simple and my dogs aren’t the brightest LOL. It took about a week, but the first collar was zapping the Wheaten without the warning beep. Petsafe QUICKLY sent me a new collar with proof of purchase through email and we were able to continue training, without too much of a set back. I digress.

I would recommend this product without hesitation. Worth every penny and every minute of my time. My neighbors had “innotek” (same parent company) install their fence and it was over $1,000. We paid about $230–with an extra collar and did it ourselves. Watch a couple of utube videos if you’ve got questions or hesitations about this product.
